Milpa + Mesa April 9th-13th 2020
◇ The theme de la milpa a la mesa means from corn field to table. It is an immersive and educational Oaxacan food experience. (and of course there will be yoga) ◇ We will see the entire process from farm to kitchen to table. Plant seeds at a local sustainable farm, take a nixtamal workshop to learn the process of turning raw corn into warm tortillas, visit traditional markets, learn how mezcal is made at local palenque, take a cooking class with a renowned Oaxacan chef, and dine at some of the best and most traditional restaurants in the city. ◇ Yes, we’ll be filling our bellies with amazingly delicious and complex things, but we’ll also be learning from experts along the way and participating in the process.
