Does any one have any tips on coaching beginners (in reference to base standing flyer inversions). It is just hard to get started cause its a big step up from the ground.

    Hi Mellisa!

I’m not sure what you’re asking here. I think what you’re asking is that you’d like to coach people with a solid practice on the ground how to base standing shoulder-stand, hand to hand, dolphin, and the like? Is that correct?

    Melissa Zainey

Kind off. Sorry i must have worded my question poorly.

I come from a cheerleading background where all you do is standing and that is what is expected from you. What i am seeing with ground acro is a desire but hesitation to move to standing.

So looking out for some advice on how to introduce standing to those who are not around it as much as i have been previously.

It personally took me a long time to get into standing acro, but eventually I moved into it.

My difficulty was just a timing issue. Following the jump and riding it up is key and it just takes lots of practice.

Start with the basics. Get lots of spotters.

You can also do things in a seated position before doing them standing.

Thank you, that is what i was thinking
